Griffin Museum of Science and Industry (Griffin MSI) is one of the largest science museums in the world, occupying fourteen acres of exhibit space and welcoming more than 200 million guests since opening. Founded in 1933 by philanthropist Julius Rosenwald, the Museum has spent more than 90 years sparking curiosity through immersive, hands-on experiences, from the U-505 Submarine to Science Storms to the Giant Dome Theater. Griffin MSI's mission is to inspire the inventive genius in everyone, bridging education and innovation through exhibits and outreach programs that engage learners of all ages.

University of Chicago students with a valid student ID receive:

  • One free General Admission ticket per University of Chicago student per visit

  • One free Anne Frank: The Exhibition ticket per University of Chicago student per visit

To redeem, students must stop at our Entry Hall Ticketing Counter and present their ID. Discounts cannot be redeemed online or over the phone. Special Exhibits are not included unless otherwise stated.
