Music of the Baroque

Music of the Baroque’s professional chorus and orchestra is one of the leading ensembles in the country devoted to performing seventeenth- and eighteenth-century music. Since its founding in Hyde Park in 1970, MOB has brought the music of Bach, Handel, Mozart, and Haydn—as well as that of their contemporaries and modern-day successors—to magnificent venues across Chicago. MOB nurtures the next generation of musicians outside the concert hall through transformative educational programs and inspiring community events, including “Strong Voices,” our nationally recognized partnership with Chicago Public Schools.
