For more than 25 years, Writers Theatre has captivated Chicagoland audiences with inventive interpretations of classic work, a bold approach to contemporary theatre, and a dedication to creating the most intimate theatrical experience possible. In February 2016, Writers Theatre opened a new, state-of-the-art facility. This established the company's first permanent home—a new theatre center in downtown Glencoe. The new facility has allowed the Theatre to continue to grow to accommodate its audience while maintaining its trademark intimacy.

• $20 student tickets with student ID (subject to availability; limit 1 per ID). Use code UCHICAGO online or mention your student status when making a reservation by phone. A valid student ID must be presented at will-call to pick up your ticket.  Additionally, if you take Metra's Union-Pacific North Line to attend Writers Theatre, your fare is covered by Writers Theatre. Post a picture of yourself on Facebook or Twitter and tag @WritersTheatre and #[showtitle] to let them know you’re on the way and when you arrive, the box office will reimburse you $5.00 cash for your trip.
