'Difference Machines: Technology and Identity in Contemporary Art' at Wrightwood 659

Wrightwood 659, in collaboration with the University of Chicago, is set to host an enlightening event centered around the thought-provoking exhibition "Difference Machines: Technology and Identity in Contemporary Art." This exhibit delves into the intricate interplay between the ever-evolving digital technologies and the multifaceted identities we embody. Featuring the works of 17 contemporary artists, the exhibition poses profound questions that resonate with our times: How do technological advancements influence our perception of ourselves and others? In what manner does technology either contribute to or provide a means to challenge biases and systemic oppression? Furthermore, it seeks to explore technology's rightful place and impact on our personal lives and broader communities.
