Documentary Films
Doc Films is on record with the Museum of Modern Art as the longest continuously running student film society in the nation. Since its inception in 1933, the Documentary Films group has had a long-standing commitment to providing a wide variety of films to the University of Chicago and its surrounding Hyde Park community, serving as both an education and entertainment resource. Fire Escape Films
Fire Escape Films is the student-run film production organization at the University of Chicago. Our goal is to sustain a community of student filmmakers and raise awareness about media oriented projects and opportunities. We help produce featurettes, shorts, music videos and documentaries on digital and film formats.
UChicago Japanese Animation Society
UCJAS gets together once a week to watch anime from a mix of genres and epochs, hosts screening events, and an annual anime convention called UChi-Con.
